While talking with a colleague, we shared stories of what people do with the photos without story, the photos where nobody knows who is in the photo. A neighbor chucking boxes of photos, of unknown family. A sad image, yet real for so many people. We chuckled about putting together an unknown family book - taking those photos and putting them in a book, but with no names. Although silly at first, we can to think that we could bring that book to family events to see if any, just one person, could help identify these photos. Perhaps it is a stretch.
"Photos without stories are memories lost." - Sharon Murdoch, PhD
It is important we become intentional about documenting the stories of our life today. Tomorrow may be too late...

Happy Mother's Day
I couldn't let this day pass without honoring the mother's of the world. It is a job that is not applied for, a job that just arrives, and a job that has more duties that was in the job description. It is a job that has overtimes, but also a job that has more bonus' that any woman without a child could imagine.
I thank the mother's of today. You are shaping the next generation. Teach them to be kind. They will teach it to their friends and children. Teach them to be compassionate. They will be the healers of the future. Teach them value creativity. They will never feel stuck. Teach them the importance of heritage. They will always connect with youth, and be a storyteller.
Give an extra hug to mom today.

Bingo Cards
I saw the cutest game this weekend by my friend Beth. She has told me about her BINGO cards, but this was the first time I actually saw them. She created a 12x12 sheet with family photos on them. Then, she created draw cards with our playing cards, with the coordinating photos. They were absolutely adorable!
