Old Friends

Yesterday, I spend the evening with a friend from High School that we haven't sat down with and talked for almost 20 years. We shared story, after story, after story. We talked about the challenges in out life, about the successes. We shared about the lives of people we once knew and we now know. We talked for over 5 hours and could have talked for 100 more.

These are the precious moments in our everyday life that we need to capture in eternity in a book. The friend who fights for our country, and the one who went to the Peace Corp. The friend who works in the prison and the one recovering from drugs. The friend who has a recording studio in New York, the friend who works on our favorite TV shows and the one with the famous musician for a father. The friend who had a baby last month, and the friend who cherishes their four legged furry child. The friend who lost his Dad in high school, the one who lost her Dad last week, and the one nurturing their 94 year old grandmother. Write, preserve and share your story about yourself and the ones you care about.

And, call someone you've been thinking about, you never know, perhaps they've been thinking about you too.
